The Navitas Career Experience Program is an 18 week work-readiness program designed for those looking to increase their understanding of the skills needed by professionals in the Australian workplace. Participants have an opportunity for career development in their chosen profession by completing training and a practical internship placement which complements their academic studies. The program adds value to participants’ CVs and enhances career prospects through professional and personal growth. 

Program structure

The program is comprised of 6 weeks of workplace preparation coursework combined with a 12 week full-time internship. Upon successful completion of the program participants will be awarded two certificates and will have gained valuable training and work experience at a reputable company in Australia.

The program features a 12 week internship placement in an organisation relevant to your studies and chosen profession.

The program features a 12 week internship placement in an organisation relevant to your studies and chosen profession.

An Internship Placement Coordinator will discuss and assess your career goals to help find a suitable placement. Individual coaching sessions will help prepare you for your interview/s and subsequent placement.

Am I eligible?

To enrol, participants must: 
 - Have recently completed or currently be
   completing a course of study related to
   their placement field 
 - Have upper-intermediate English skills of
   General IELTS 6.0 in each band, or equivalent,
   unless they are a native English speaker 
 - Hold a suitable visa 

Career Experience portfolio

Upon completion of the program you will receive a professional Navitas Career Experience portfolio, which includes: 
 - An OHS Statement of Attainment 
 - A Navitas Career Experience Program
   Certificate of Attainment
